New Fashion and Interior Design Institute @ Kilpauk



Kalakriti School of Art and Design was opened today at Kilpauk, Chennai, India. With the improvement of lifestyle, there is increasing demand for branded and custom designed fashion wear, as well as interior design products. This has resulted in increasing demand for experts in these areas that Kalakriti aims to fulfill. Aim high standards of course tuned to the demands of today's market, Kalakriti brought together a number of experienced teachers in these areas. A special feature of the curriculum, practical experience through the site and industrial visits, lectures by industry experts, the use of multi-media to enhance the flow of supplies and projects for hands on iskustvo.Zavod also provides CAD design software for fashion design and interior design.

Kalakriti also aims to promote traditional Indian art forms among the short-term courses Kalamkari Painting, Madhubani Painting, kerala mural paintings, Rajasthani Gem Stone Painting, Warli Painting, Tanjore glass painting, stained glass painting, embroidery and Aari Saree design. These courses are open to those from all walks of life, including students, home-makers, professionals and retirees. Exclusively for children, the Institute conducts regular classes in Indian classical dance and music as well as drawing, painting and handicrafts.

The Institute will implement a subsidized low cost professional training courses in tailoring, pattern making and handicrafts for poor girls and give them help and guidance on how to get a job or start their own self employment units.
